Blue Yonder (Formerly JDA Software Group)

  • Blue Yonder is the rebranded JDA Software Group which acquired WMS vendor RedPrairie in 2012. RedPrairie has developed yard management functionality that extends their WMS task management, inventory management, and order waving out to the yard.  In 2012, the company announced that RFID capabilities  were being added to the application so that trailers with RFID tags could easily be located in the yard.

C3 Solutions

  • YARDSMARTTM is an industry-leading Yard Management Software Solution with built-in appointment and dock scheduling that is widely deployed in the Grocery and Retail sectors as well as a number of other industry sectors with high volume sites. C3 has developed the concept of dynamic yard scheduling which based on agent technology that enables companies to replan and reprioritize whenever truks arrive early or late from their appointment schedule time.

Cypress Inland Corporation

  • Founded in 1998, Cypress Inland Corporation provides “YardView” - a Yard Management Software system that coordinates and directs inbound and outbound traffic for trailers, containers and private fleet equipment.

Exotrac

  • Founded in 2006 and headquartered in New York City, Exotrac provides an affordable GPS-based YMS system that is well suited for 3PLs. The company’s cloud-based YMS is called YardTrac which uses a GPS-equipped mobile scanning device to perform field-based functions.  There is also a suite of other solutions that serve as extensions of the YardTrac application.

Fourkites

  • In 2020, Fourkites acquired its YMS from TrackX and rebranded it as Fourkites Dynamic Yard.  Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Fourkites supports some of the world’s largest companies with end-to-end real-time supply chain visibility solutions of which yard management is an important element of the platform.

HighJump Software (Subsidiary of Körber Group)

  • Headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, HighJump Software was originally founded in 1983 as Data Collection Systems Inc.  In July, 2014, HighJump was merged with Accellos and the new company will operate under the HighJump name. The HighJump Yard Advantage yard management system (YMS) is a real-time system that manages trucks, trailers, drivers, goods and materials in the yard.

Manhattan Associates

  • Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Manhattan Associates is a leading supply chain execution software vendor that offers yard management as an extension of its overall suite of supply chain applications.  The Manhattan Yard Manhattan Software is available in conjunction with appointment scheduling and hub enablement.

NCR

  • In 2012, NCR acquired Retalix which had previously acquired OMI International.  OMI had developed  a Yard Management System which was deployed primarily in the Grocery sector.

PINC

  • Founded in 2004, PINC Solutions is headquartered in Alameda, California.  The company develops and implements a cloud-based RFID-based yard management system.  PINC provides operational data sensors to support collaboration with trading partners. 

 

UltrashipTMS

  • Founded in 2001, UltrashipTMS is a company that is primarily known as a transportation software system.  The company has developed a YMS extension of its TMS application called UltraYMS.

Zebra Enterprise Solutions

  • Zebra Enterprise Solutions (ZES), a division of Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA), acquired Navis in December, 2007 for approximately $145 Million and RFID provider WhereNet in January, 2007.  Navis is widely deployed for yard management at the major ports that has also been deployed in distribution and manufacturing environments.
