Blue Yonder is the rebranded JDA Software Group which acquired WMS vendor RedPrairie in 2012. RedPrairie has developed yard management functionality that extends their WMS task management, inventory management, and order waving out to the yard. In 2012, the company announced that RFID capabilities were being added to the application so that trailers with RFID tags could easily be located in the yard.
