3Gtms

  • Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, 3GTMS is the developer of a best-of-breed suite of transportation systems used by shippers and third-party logistics companies to buy transportation services; plan and optimize transportation activities; execute the transportation plan. 

Accellos (now HighJump)

  • Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Accellos merged with HighJump in July, 2014 and then was fully absorbed under the HighJump name in late 2017. 
  • Accellos One Transport was a planning, execution and reporting for transportation carriers, brokers and shippers. This solution was rebranded in 2017 as HighJump Prophesy TMS.

Aptean

  • Tradebeam was a company out of San Mateo, CA that developed import and export trade compliance solutions for global sourcing and shipping.  Tradebeam was acquired by CDC Software in May, 2010 (CDC also acquired the Catalyst WMS). The solution is now sold by Aptean, a company based in Atlanta.

Arcline (2000)

  • Arcline (2000) Inc. is a privately-held software development company that is headquartered in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. The company develops Dispatch Management Software for North American freight brokers and trucking companies with small to medium sized fleets. Arcline’s products work with Quickbooks ®, Sage 50 ®, Simply Accounting ® and Accpac ®.

BluJay Solutions

  • In 2017, Kewill and LeanLogistics rebranded as BluJay Solutions.  The company works with more than 40,000 carriers, shippers, forwarders, suppliers, and LSPs, to create the BluJay Global Trade Network that enables connectivity among participants.
  • Kewill was best known for their multi-carrier parcel shipping management solutions. They also provided support for global trade, e-customs clearance, EDI capabilities; In 2013 Kewill acquired Four Soft which had logistics software solutions for freight forwarders, NVOCCs, customs brokers, container freight stations, ships agents, warehouses, cartage, trucking and 3PL / 4PL companies.
  • LeanLogistics offered a TMS that addressed most of the basic, core TMS requirements of North American shippers.

Blue Yonder (Formerly JDA Software Group)

  • Blue Yonder rebranded the JDA Software Group in February, 202.; JDA had acquired RedPrairie in 2012. At the time RedPrairie offered solutions in three transportation domains: multimodal planning, execution and settlement; asset-based, private/dedicated fleet routing and scheduling; and multi-carrier parcel manifesting. RedPrairie acquired Shippers Commonwealth, a leading SaaS transportation management system (TMS) provider in January, 2011.
  • In 2012, New Mountain Capital announced the merger of the JDA Software Group and RedPrairie to form a new supply chain planning and execution software vendor that will continue under the name of JDA Software Group.
  • JDA Software Group had acquired Manugistics which developed a mature TMS offering to the market. It offers freight procurement, collaboration, freight analytics and strategic-planning capabilities that address most of the needs of complex users, domestically and internationally, with growing capabilities for international logistics users. Manugistics routing and scheduling software (from the old TRUCKS system) is a mature solution still used extensively in the grocery industry.
  • JDA Software Group also acquired i2 Technologies in 2010 for $396 Million which added a TMS with the breadth, depth and adaptability demanded by complex transportation users that require planning and optimization capabilities from a sophisticated planning engine.

CAMS Software Corporation

  • CAMS Software Corporation is the developer of Prospero, a TMS that has been specifically designed for the grocery industry. The solution provides visual dispatch, activity based driver payroll and transportation management solution including and backhaul optimization.

CargoSmart

  • CargoSmart Limited is a Software as a Service (SaaS) global shipping and logistics solutions provider.

Ceritar Technologies Inc.

  • Ceritar Technologies is a Canadian software company with offices in France and Saudi Arabia.  Founded in 1996, the company has developed an extensive logistics ERP software suite that supports transportation transactional management for LTL, Truck load, Intermodal and Logistics & Brokerage.

CTSI

  • CTSI Logistics is a provider of logistics and freight forwarding solutions.

Cleartrack Information Network

  • Cleartrack provides end-to-end transportation procurement, tracking, logistics control services, etc. for domestic and global freight.

Descartes Systems Group

  • Descartes Systems Group is focused on logistics and transportation-intensive enterprises. They offer solutions including: multimodal TMS; stand-alone routing and scheduling software; to full logistics-focused EDI value-added network services.

Dynamic Logistix

  • Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Overland Park, KS, Dynamic Logistix has developed the XTMS solution which is a centralized, automated system that manages load optimization; lane consolidation; shipment tracking; ERP system integration and claims management.

E2Open

  • Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Austin, TX, E2open, LLC is a publicly traded B2B provider of cloud-based, on-demand software for supply chains for computer, telecom and electronics systems, components and services. According to the company’s estimate, more than 60,000 trading partners and 200,000 unique registered users currently participate in the E2open Business Network.
  • E2Open aquired INTTRA in 2018. INTTRA was one of the largest multi-carrier e-commerce platforms for the ocean shipping industry.
  • E2Open also aquired Amber Road in 2019. Amber Road was a leading provider of on-demand Global Trade Management (GTM) software and solutions. Their GTM software suite includes solutions to automate and manage business processes for sourcing optimization, foreign supplier management, global transportation management, export management, supply chain visibility, import management, duty management, restricted party screening, carrier selection and booking, and freight audit.

Endicia

  • Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, Endicia is a provider of e-commerce shipping technologies and electronic postage solutions that make it easier and more affordable to ship parcels through the U.S. Postal Service.

eyefreight

  • eyefreight was founded in 2009 and has global headquarters in Utrecht and U.S.  headquarters in Evanston, Illinois.  The Eyefreight TMS is a SaaS application that supports multi-modal shippers with solutions ranging from shipment planning to freight settlement.

Freightgate

  • Freightgate provides an Internet based supply chain software solution for global shippers, forwarders and carriers to manage worldwide supply chain information.  Manage supply chain visibility, freight contracts, rating, routing and scheduling of transportation. 

HighJump Software (Subsidiary of Körber Group)

  • HighJump Software offers a TMS solution that covers the core TMS functions of planning, execution and settlement. HighJump acquired its TMS capability in 2006 when with the acquisition of Pinnacle Distribution Concepts and its Freight Logic product which was rebranded as HighJump Transportation Advantage.  In August 2017, Highjump was acquired by Körber AG.
  • HighJump also offers a TMS software system called Prophesy TMS.

IBM Sterling Supply Chain

  • In May 2010, IBM entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Sterling Commerce from AT&T for $1.4 Billion.
  • Sterling Commerce acquired Nistevo (on-demand TMS) in 2007. Sterling Commerce provides an execution/network-centric, TMS offering that is capable of handling transportation requirements from planning through to execution and settlement.

Infor

  • Infor acquired ShipLogix in 2007 (Web-hosted TMS). In addition the company has other TMS legacy solutions (Arzoon, CAPS Transpro, CAPS RoutePro). 
  • Infor also acquired GT Nexus for $675 Million in 2015. GT Nexus developed an extensive trade and logistics portal for importers, exporters, banks and logistics providers (3PLs, Carriers).

Infreight Logistics

  • Infreight Logistics  provides freight shipment rating solutions with a solution called FREIGHTWARE® rateManagerASP.Heard of FreightWare ?  This TMS solution is focused on intermodal / international shipments but is also capable of rating bobtail / LTL , FTL domestic shipments.

LeanLogistics

  • LeanLogistics is now owned by Kewill Systems.  LeanLogistics offers a TMS that addresses most of the basic, core TMS requirements of North American shippers.

LeSaint Logistics

  • LeSaint Logistics is a third-party logistics provider that is headquartered near Chicago.  The company has 14 facilities in the U.S. and is focused on the retail sector. Their web-enabled TMS is known as TransTech. which includes transportation network design for optimizing routes, shipping execution and compliance, carrier relationship / event management, and track and trace.

LOG-NET

  • LOG-NET is a developer of a wide range of integrated on-demand, end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Logicor

  • Logicor acquired Pfastship Worldwide Logistics in 2005.  Multi-platform parcel/LTL freight shopping systems.

Logility

  • Logility has a mature, proven and competitive North American-centric TMS solution.

Manhattan Associates

  • Manhattan’s TMS is approaching market-leading capabilities in operational planning, execution, and audit and payment functionality, while its freight procurement and fleet management capabilities lead the industry. Manhattan Associates also offers a stand-alone, web-based parcel-manifesting system as part of its portfolio.

McSource Technologies

  • Freight Payment, Dispatching, Freight Accounting, TMS and Logistics solutions. 

Mercury Gate International

  • MercuryGate International is solely focused on transportation management has assembled a growing list of shipper and 3PL customers.

Mix Telematics

  • Acquired Tripmaster for fleet management, driver vehicle and performance, fuel management and leasing solutions.

NCR

  • In 2012 acquired Retalix.  Retalix had acquired BGI International in 2007.  Their suite includes transportation optimization, Inbound freight management, dock scheduling, and traffic control.

Next Generation Logistics

  • Hosted , On Premise, or Managed TMS management suite applications.

Novotran Solutions Inc.

  • Headquartered in Mississauga, ON, Novotran’s TMS supports planning, shipping, and freight cost management for publishers, manufacturers, distributors and third party logistics providers.  The company formed after HK Systems spun off their TMS solution which was branded as Irista.

NT Logistics

  • Provides solutions for brokerage, customs and dedicated requirements.

Omnitracs

  • Omnitracs was founded in 1988 as Qualcomm and today operates in 70 countries.
  • In 2013, Omnitracs acquired Roadnet Technologies, a company that  was originally founded in 1983 as Roadnet Systems Corporation and was acquired by UPS in May 1986. In Nov. 2010, the company was spun off to Thoma Bravo, LLC, a private equity investment firm.
  • Roadnet is a Transportation Suite to optimize fleet routing and scheduling.  MobileCast is a dispatch and GPS tracking software application. The company is based in Towson, MD and the software is used to route over 200,000 vehicles managed through 3,400 installations worldwide.

One Network Enterprises

  • One Network has built a collaborative, Web based appointment and dock scheduling in which multiple parties (carriers, suppliers, and customers) can interact through a Web portal to request and receive dock appointments.

Oracle

  • Oracle Transportation Management (OTM is a rename of GLOG’s TMS application which is from the 2005 GLOG acquisition. GLOG was Global Logistics Technologies, Inc.) offers the stability of a financially strong and global ERP vendor, along with a best-of-breed TMS.

Ortec

  • Ortec provides routing, pallet and load building optimization software. The company has been in business for over 30 years. Ortec manages the direct store delivery (DSD) routing optimization for Coca Cola in the U.S. which involves route optimization to over 6 million customers.  Ortec works primarily with customers in the Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, Transportation and Oil, Gas and Chemical industries.

Pantonium

  • Headquartered in Toronto, Pantonium is a relatively new company that provides a TMS solution for companies with a mobile field service requirement.  Their software is designed to centrally manage a fleet of mobile resources such as hospital patient transfers, utilities repair vans, etc.

Pitney Bowes

  • Small parcel multi-carrier order processing and domestics/export shipment management system.

POSDATA Group

  • POSDATA Group, Inc is the rebranded Control Solutions, Inc. which was the parent company of Compsee, a developer of mobile trucking delivery management and proof of delivery solutions.

QAD / Precision Software

  • QAD provides parcel-manifesting and trade compliance applications stemming from the company’s acquisition of Precision Software.

Riege Software International

  • Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Germany, Riege Software is a privately-held developer of solutions and services for the cargo industry.  Riege has 350 customers worldwide with over 5,000 users in 24 countries. The company has offices in Europe, Asia and North America, The company has partnered with freight forwarders, carriers and manufacturing companies.
  • Riege provides a TMS called Scope which is an integrated Transportation Management System for Air Freight, Sea Freight and Customs.

SAP

  • SAP Transportation Management (TM) supports the complete transportation management lifecycle for both domestic and international freight through the planning, execution and settlement processes. The solution is designed to enable end-to-end logistics and order fulfillment process management with visibility, compliance and flexibility while minimizing logistics costs. Additional capabilities include fleet optimization with Gantt Charts and mass billing and invoicing capabilities.

Shippers Resource Center Inc.

  • Shippers Resource Center is a small but specialized transportation / logistics consulting services firm that sells a software system called ShippersEdge to manage LTL and Truckload shipping as a SaaS (Hosted) Application.  The company is based in Minneapolis, MN and has been in business since about 1996.

Syncreon

  • Syncreon acquired nAL Worldwide (Dec. 2009) which provides solutions for consolidation, mode shift and route optimization.

TECSYS

  • Tecsys provides TMS for multi-carrier small parcel, LTL & FTL shipping.

TransCore Link Logistics

  • Founded in 1990, TransCore is Canadina leader in load and freight matching services.
  • In 2003, Transcore acquired CarrierPoint which enables transportation business partners to deal directly through a real-time communication portal.

Transentric

  • Transentric is a wholly owned subsidiary of Union Pacific Corporation.  They provide shippers, carriers, third parties, and trading communities with B2B connectivity.

Transplace

  • Transplace offers a TMS that spans the core functionality of planning, execution and settlement, with strengths analytics and performance management.

Tranzact Technologies

  • Tranzact specializes in transportation sourcing, freight payment and audit, parcel and express shipping solutions.

Trimble

  • Trimble Inc. is a Sunnyvale, California-based software as a service technology company.
  • In 2012, Trimble acquired TMW which developed transportation management software for TMW Systems operations, dispatch, fleet maintenance, trucking, broker and logistics solutions. TMW had acquired Appian Logistics in 2011. Appian was one of the last independent scheduling and routing software companies to optimize  Final Mile routing. TMW also developed a suite of transportation applications that include Appian’s DirectRoute routing application; DRTrack; TerritoryPro; ResourcePro; SchedulePro; Transportation Modeler.
  • In 2013 Trimble acquired ALK Technologies which was mostly known for its PC Miler application - a tool that is used for rail and trucking mileage / transit time determinations and mapping utilities.
  • In January 2020, Trimble acquired Kuebix which was founded in 2008 and headquartered in Maynard, MA. Kuebix developed a transportation management system (TMS) built on cloud technology that helps companies purchase and manage freight. The software provides functionality in Shipment Entry & Tracking, Dispatch/Load Board, EDI/ XML Integrations, Route Optimization: Multi-Stop, Pool, Fleet, Warehouse Scheduling, Yard and Dock, Invoice Management : Expense  & Revenue, Dynamic Reporting, Exception Management: Compliance, and Audit.
